Traxxas is currently one of the most popular RC model organizations in the world.
It began its history in 1986 in USA. The main idea then was to come up with a completely new concept of radio-controlled models.
The new car was supposed to have all the hobby-class benefits such as a set of replacement parts, hop-ups, and high quality radio components, but it will be fully assembled, with a painted case right out of the box.
It was Traxxas who came up with the term RTR (Ready-to-Run), which means ready to use right out of the box, without the need for assembly.
At the time, this idea only applied to radio-controlled cars.
Later, in 1989, the same was applied to radio-controlled boats.
At the moment Traxxas presents very high quality products of ready-made electric and nitro models. There are spare parts for each model for replacement or tuning.
The lineup includes radio-controlled cars and ship models of various sizes, configurations and appearance. The class of SUVs predominates, models such as Summit, E-Revo, E-Maxx, Stampede, Bandit, Slash, Jato are very popular.
Traxxas is also famous for producing the fastest RTR model "XO-1". It develops speeds above 150 kilometers per hour! It uses a new generation of radio equipment, in which it is possible to connect your iPhone or iPod to the remote control and observe characteristics such as the number of revolutions or speed.
Traxxas also makes quadcopters.
