Yuneec was founded at the turn of the century in 1999 in Hong Kong.
It initially specialized in electric aircraft and fixed-wing radio-controlled models.
Successes and achievements in the field of aircraft construction allowed to receive in 2013 the world's first certificate for an aircraft with an electric propulsion system, which was called the E-Spyder.
In 2014, Yuneec turned its attention to the fast-growing civilian drone market and launched the Q500, which is still in great demand today.
Thanks to a successful start in this direction in 2015, Yuneec and IT giant Intel signed a cooperation agreement.
Investments from Intel and joint development with Yuneec are the Yuneec Typhoon H with Intel RealSense collision avoidance module.
